Q:  Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?

Olivia Kaspen has just discovered that her ex-boyfriend, Caleb Drake, has lost his memory. It is a race to the finish as these two vipers engage in a vicious tug of war to possess a man who no longer remembers them. But, soon enough Olivia must face the consequences of her lies, and in the process discover that sometimes love falls short of redemption.
The first book/scene that comes to mind is from The Opportunist (Love Me With Lies #1) by Tarryn Fisher.  Specifically, the ending was so emotional.  I hate to give away spoilers but the ending of this book made me cry and I have only ever cried reading one other book (Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah).  Essentially, The Opportunist centers around Olivia trying to get the love of her life, Caleb, back after she did something pretty horrible.  There are chapters from the past interspersed with the present in a way that is just perfect.  Again, I don't want to give away the ending, but it just tore me up.  I am anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this series.  You can read my review of the second book, Dirty Red, and my WoW for the third book, Thief.

    OMG, I've seen a bunch of amazing reviews on "The Opportunist." I keep forgetting to add it to my to-read list, though. Thanks for reminding me. At least now I know going in that I'm going to cry ^_^

      It's not really a romance -- more of a psychological exploration. There is a love involved but it's more about being broken
