What to Read if You Love The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

This & That – 2 Books with Strong Friendships, a Quest, and SHIPs! “ This and That ”  is a feature created by Megan @ Reading Books Likes a Boss   and borrowed here with permission. Megan created this feature and I owe this post to her brilliance.  Not only should you check out her blog , generally, but her This & That recommendations are utterly perfect! Megan created this feature to showcase books that either sound similar or have similar themes, and thus I am recommending that you read the "that book" because you are a a fan of the “this book.”  About the Books: THE RAVEN BOYS (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them--until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her. His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Kn...

Hamiltag !

I was tagged by  Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight  to do this and I'm so excited!  This tag was created by Maureen !   The Room Where It Happens (A Book World You Would Put Yourself Into) So you may think I'm crazy for this one but how could I not choose my favorite book of all time?  This gets back to my boarding school love and that there is something about the academic setting of this book that I want!!   The Schuyler Sisters (An Underrated Female Character) With so much focus on the "Boys" in this series, I really think that Blue is so underrated.  And, you know I can't wait for the last book next month -- I am terrified/excited. My Shot ( A Character That Goes After What They Want and Doesn’t Let Anything Stop Them ) Heck yes I am stealing Jessica's answer for this one because Leah is the answer to this question. I don't even want to know about a world where someone is more determined t...

2014 End of Year Book Survey!

2014 End of Year Book Survey: (hosted by Jamie @ The Perpetual Pageturner ) Number of books I read:  208 Number of re-reads: 32. Genre I read the most from: Contemporary adult. Best Book I read in 2014?  See my adult list HERE and my YA/NA list HERE tl; dr:   Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher / /   Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater Book you were excited and thought you were gonna love more but didn’t? I feel like there were a lot of bad books this year :( The biggest one for me was Stone Could Touch by JLA -- I loved the first book but I ended up DNF'd the second one.  It was so childish and faux drama! Most surprising (in a good or bad way) book you read in 2014? Probably Mud Vein for its mind-blowing just !!! (even though I should have expected no less from Tarryn Fisher) and the DNF sequels -- Stone Cold Touch , Seducing Lauren Book you pushed people to read in 2014? Mud Vein, The All For the Game series by Nora Sakavic, E...

TOP TEN ADULT BOOKS OF 2014!

1.    Mud Vein  by Tarryn Fisher What can I say?  Tarryn Fisher tops my list AGAIN, for the third year in a row.  And there's a reason why:  no one writes like she does.  No one messes with your mind, heart, and life like she does when you are reading one of her books. 2.  The King's Men (All for the Game #3)   by Nora Sakavic In a close second to Mud Vein (which should tell you just how amazing this series is . . . ) is the final book in the All For The Game series by Nora Sakavic .   I've never read anything like this series and the final book was absolutely incredible -- so intense!! 3.   Night Owl (Night Owl #1)   and   Last Light (Night Owl #2)   by M. Pierce There is as much mystery in these books as there is in the author of these books.  LOVE LOVE LOVE.  My review of Last Light HERE . 4.     How to Kill a Rock Star  and  God-Shaped Hole ...
