Top Ten Characters Who Are Fellow Book Nerds

Top Ten Tuesday  is hosted by the fab ladies at  The Broke and the Bookish ! 1.  Of course I picked Senna from Mud Vein first, everyone's favorite author! 2.    Kat from the Lux series is awesome because she's a book blogger! 3.  Cath from Fangirl is a fan fiction extraordinaire! 4.  One of my favorite parts of Steering the Stars   was Hannah's journey to become a writer. 5.  No one is a bigger book nerd than Dora , who literally shuts out the entire world to go on multiple day-long book benders, barely pausing to do anything but read. 6.  Not only do Matt and Hannah meet as writing partners in Night Owl but it is Matt's words that eventually inspire all aspects of their relationship including Hannah becoming an editor. 7.  How could I not include the original literary couple: Georgina (book lover, book store manager and devourer of Seth's words) and Seth (the wr...

TOP 10 YA BOOKS OF 2013

1.   Things I Can't Forget (Hundred Oaks #3)  by Miranda Kenneally Without question, my favorite YA books of 2013! I loved the story, the complexity, the struggle of the characters and, basically, how Miranda Kenneally was able to perfectly capture how to get over yourself sometimes. This series is PHENOMENAL.  Seriously.  I'm already ready to read this one again. Full review here 2.  Origi n (Lux #4)  by Jennifer L. Armentrout  Not what I was expecting but everything I always wanted from this series!  I cannot wait to read Opposition (Lux #5) but I do NOT want this series to end -- JLA is amazing!! 3.   Flat-Out Matt (Flat-Out Love #1.5)  by Jessica Park The short companion novella to my favorite book of last year was simply perfect.   Full review here .  4.   Just One Day  and  Just One Year   by Gayle Forman Beautiful, beautiful series by Gayle Forman about se...

Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2013

Top Ten Tuesday  is hosted by the fab ladies at  The Broke and the Bookish ! 1.  I recently started the Debutante Dropout Mystery series by Susan McBride and I love it!  Sometimes there is nothing better than finding a new mystery series! 2.    For those of you that are contemporary romance fans like I am, you need to read anything and everything by Rosalind James !!  I started the Escape to New Zealand series   (um New Zealand and hot rugby players?!)  after one of my BFF gifted me the first book and I have devoured all of Ms. James' books since.  Can't wait for more!! 3.  Another new to me author this year is Kristen Ashley and I am sorry I waited even this long to start reading her books!  I am IN LOVE with the Rock Chick series -- so smart, funny and perfect -- definitely the series I laugh at loud the most while reading! 4.  I'm pretty sure everyone participating in TTT to...

It's Monday! What Are you Reading? #3

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?  is a meme sponsored by Sheila at Book Journey where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. Last Week I Read: This week was amazing!  I loved everything I read!  So exciting.  Obviously, this week was heavy on NA but that is certainly my weakness.  Last week's swoon was from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and expect swoons and reviews from Disclosure of The Heart and Undeclared to come! This Week I Plan to Read:  Link up below!   What are you reading?   What great books did you read last week?

Swoon Thursday: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Swoon Thursday is a meme hosted by YABound .   From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering. Today, I am spotlighting  Fangirl  by Rainbow Rowell , which I am reading this week!  And now, on to the swoon: "Come home with me, Cath."  She could hear him smiling. "It's early and I don't want to say good night."   "I never want to say good night, but we still manage."   "Wait, you don't?"   "No," she whispered. "Come home with me," he whispered back. Leaving you with a vague quote because I don't want you to know who said this if you haven't read the book yet!  This is a great YA book and I can't wait to read more from this author!  Who are you swooning over this week?  Link up your Swoon below!
