The Veil (Devil's Isle #1) by Chloe Neill

I'm so excited to be reviewing and giving away swag from Chloe Neill's latest book, The Veil, today!  This is the first book in a new series and, based on it alone, I know this is going to be one of my favorite UF/PR series!  ENTER TO WIN SOME SWAG BELOW!!!!!!
Blurb from Chloe:
Seven years ago, the Veil that separates us from what lies beyond was torn apart, and New Orleans was engulfed in a supernatural war. Now, those with paranormal powers have been confined in a walled community that humans call the District. Those who live there call it Devil’s Isle.

Claire Connolly is a good girl with a dangerous secret: she’s a Sensitive, a human endowed with magic that seeped through the Veil. Claire knows that revealing her skills would mean being confined to Devil’s Isle. Unfortunately, hiding her power has left her untrained and unfocused…

Waiting on Wednesday: The Big Rewind by Libby Cudmore

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that you are eagerly anticipating.

Today, I am waiting on:
The Big Rewind by Libby Cudmore!

From Goodreads: Raymond Chandler meets Nick Hornby in this clever noir romp through hipster Brooklyn as a mysterious mix tape puts a young amateur sleuth on the hunt for a killer—and for the truths hidden within her own heart.

But when Jett opens up her mail and finds a mix tape meant for her neighbor, KitKat, a local queen bee renowned for her “enhanced” baked goods and retro videogame collection, everything changes. Jett drops off the cassette and discovers that it’s game over for KitKat: someone bashed her head in with a rolling pin… and left her pot brow…

TEASER TUESDAY + GIVEAWAY: The Paper Swan by Leylah Attar

Top Ten Characters Who Are Fellow Book Nerds

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the fab ladies at The Broke and the Bookish!

1.  Of course I picked Senna from Mud Vein first, everyone's favorite author!
2. Kat from the Lux series is awesome because she's a book blogger!
3.  Cath from Fangirl is a fan fiction extraordinaire!

4.  One of my favorite parts of Steering the Starswas Hannah's journey to become a writer.
5.  No one is a bigger book nerd than Dora, who literally shuts out the entire world to go on multiple day-long book benders, barely pausing to do anything but read.

6.  Not only do Matt and Hannah meet as writing partners in Night Owl but it is Matt's words that eventually inspire all aspects of their relationship including Hannah becoming an editor.

7.  How could I not include the original literary couple: Georgina (book lover, book store manager and devourer of Seth's words) and Seth (the writer)?

8.  I must admit that Eliza's job is the coolest: a rock 'n roll journalist -- who wouldn't want to spe…
