Waiting on Wednesday: Silver-Tongued Devil (Portland Devils, Book 1) by Rosalind James

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine , that spotlights upcoming releases that you are eagerly anticipating. Today, I am waiting on:   Silver-Tongued Devil (Portland Devils, Book 1) by Rosalind James From Author's Site : No more wild rides. No more wild side. Blake Orbison’s pro football career with the Portland Devils may have come crashing to an end, but not calling the signals anymore just gives him more time to devote to his business enterprises, including the latest and greatest: the opening of the Wild Horse Resort in scenic north Idaho. And that other one, too. Blake’s on the marriage track now, and he’s got a game plan. But when he runs into a trespasser leaping from his shoreline boulders into his lake, what’s a good ol’ boy to do but strip down and join her? Dakota Savage is nobody’s temporary diversion, least of all the man responsible for her family’s semi-desperate circumstances. Some people may th...

Review: Recipe for Love by Katie Fforde

Recipe for Love by Katie Fforde Blurb from Goodreads : Take one aspiring cook. When Zoe Harper wins a coveted place in a televised cookery competition, she can’t wait to put her cooking skills to the test. Add a very desirable judge. But as the competition heats up, she realises she’s developing an inconvenient crush on one of the judges, the truly delicious Gideon Irving. Stir in a heaped tablespoon of romance. All too soon there’s more than canapés, cupcakes and cordon bleu at stake. Will Zoe win the competition, or is Gideon one temptation too far? My Review:   Although this was my least favorite of the three re-released books for kindle by Katie Fforde this summer, I still enjoyed this one.  This book is essentially a romance taking place between a contestant and a judge on a cooking reality show: think Top Chef meets The Great British Bake Off.  It was fun with the reality sh...

Review: Summer of Love by Katie Fforde

Summer of Love by Katie Fforde Blurb from Goodreads : A gorgeously romantic summer read about fresh starts, friendships and falling deeply in love.  Sian Bishop has left the hustle and bustle of the city to throw herself into an idyllic new life in a charming countryside cottage.  With her young son, her picture-postcard garden and her furniture restoration business, she's very happy and very busy. She is not - repeat not - looking for love.  But Sian’s good intentions are torpedoed one glorious summer’s evening with the arrival of Gus Berresford. One-time explorer and full-time heartbreaker, Gus is ridiculously exciting, wonderfully glamorous and a completely inappropriate love interest for a single mother.  But she and Gus have met before. And, despite Sian's best intentions, it isn't long before she's falling for him all over again ...  My Review: Katie Fforde is one of my favo...

Review: Turn Me Loose (Paradise, Idaho #3) by Rosalind James

Turn Me Loose (Paradise, Idaho #3) by Rosalind James Blurb from Goodreads : Rochelle Marks is working hard to build a name for herself that has nothing to do with her pinup-girl curves. She’s made mistakes in the past, and now she’s trying to stop her little sister, Stacy, from making worse ones. Rochelle’s done with being nothing more than someone’s good time. Even if that someone is the one-night stand who turned her life upside down before vanishing—and who’s just arrived in Paradise, Idaho, looking to pick up where they left off. Tech mogul Travis Cochran’s hard-won new priorities have brought him to town as a university lecturer, but he’s come for something else, too: the smart, sassy, gorgeous woman who’s been in his head for months. When Stacy’s choices draw her big sister into a web of down-home crime and cold-blooded murder, Travis’s mission gets a whole lot more urgent. Now convincing Rochelle to trust him isn’t just ...
