Hamiltag !

I was tagged by Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight to do this and I'm so excited!  This tag was created by Maureen!

 The Room Where It Happens

(A Book World You Would Put Yourself Into)

So you may think I'm crazy for this one but how could I not choose my favorite book of all time?  This gets back to my boarding school love and that there is something about the academic setting of this book that I want!!

 The Schuyler Sisters

(An Underrated Female Character)

With so much focus on the "Boys" in this series, I really think that Blue is so underrated.  And, you know I can't wait for the last book next month -- I am terrified/excited.

My Shot

(A Character That Goes After What They Want and Doesn’t Let Anything Stop Them)

Heck yes I am stealing Jessica's answer for this one because Leah is the answer to this question. I don't even want to know about a world where someone is more determined than Leah, hahaha!

Burn

(The Most Heartbreaking End To A Relationship You’ve Ever Read)

So I completely agree that this is spoilery beyond belief but I couldn't pick anything else for this one.

You'll Be Back

(Sassiest Villain)

Lady Catherine de Bourgh, but of course!

The Reynolds Pamphlet

(A Twist You Didn't See Coming)

YES YES YES!

Non-Stop

(A Series You Marathoned)

And I can't go on -- Book 5 was not bueno but I liked 1-4 and marathoned them.

Satisfied

(Favorite Book with Multiple POVs)

Stay Alive

(A Character You Wish Was Still Alive)

This is a preemptive #SaveGansey, ok?

It's Quiet Uptown

(A Book That Made You Ugly Cry)

I'm really not a cryer while reading but I shed a few tears with this one.

One Last Time

(The Best Series Ender)

I cannot express the perfection of this series enough, seriously.

Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story?

(A Book/Series You Feel Like Will Be Remembered Throughout History)

The social commentary, the beautiful writing, Simon and Meg !!

Who are you going to tag?!

  1. This is awesome! So many books on here that I want (NEED) to read! I've recently added the Written in Red series to my list. I need to start Morning's series. And read Station Eleven. I've heard all are so good. Colleen Hoover always recommends How to Kill a Rockstar, and I've yet to read it. Firefly Lane is one of my favorite books of all time!!

  2. I've never even heard of Firefly Lane. I'll have to check it out. Lady Catherine de Bourgh was such a witch, lol! So completely horrible. I've watched that version of Pride and Prejudice so many times I've lost count. My favorite version! So darn funny! Oh, I hope nothing happens to Gansey!! I will be most displeased (channeling Catherine de Bourgh here)! Blue is sort of put into the background with all these boys, isn't she? Gosh, I love that series. I read the books first and then listened to the audio version and giggled my way through much of it. Will Patton has excellent comedic timing.

  3. AHH I LOVE BLUE SARGENT SO MUCH! I wouldn't have ever thought she was underrated though? Being that she's the one who does most of the narrating in the books...but I do know what you mean, considering all the boys are somewhat magical and she is not. xD ERMGARD I AM SO SO NERVOUS FOR THE RAVEN KING. *hyperventilates tragically*

  4. I haven't seen or listened to this musical at all, but it is EVERYWHERE! It's kind of crazy. I've never heard of a musical getting so hyped up. But great answers. I haven't read any of these myself though... oops? I have Bishop's The Other series right on the top of my TBR though so hopefully I'll get to it soon.

  6. Oh my gosh, I so agree on Firefly Lane. I actually thought of it when I chose my Ugly Cry answer but there was one that did me in more so I went with it.

  8. Hahaha! YESSS to Leah! RIGHT? :) Firefly Lane has caught my eye for so long now. I think it's the beautiful cover! I've not had luck with Stiefvater's books, but one of my friends was explaining the Raven Boys series and I was quite intrigued... I don't know. Maybe someday. :)

  9. YAyyy!! I am glad you did this, it's so fun!! I agree with you about Blue- I really liked her! I don't know why she doesn't get more love, though admittedly I am not caught up with the series. Perhaps she is a real asshole later on? ;) I just got Station Eleven from Book Outlet so I am pretty excited to start that one now. And I MUST start The Others series, everyone is flailing over it!

  10. What a fun tag!I have to admit I don't know much about the musical, but still enjoyed your post. :) The Secret History sounds interesting, I love the cover of Dirty Red, and the KAren Marie Moning books look good (especially since I've been looking for UF to read). I'll check this out. Great post!

I love this trope, sub-genre, setting: My Best Friend's Brother/My Brother's Best Friend

I Love This Trope, Sub-Genre, Setting is a new feature on my blog in which I discuss a trope, sub-genre or setting that I love and tell you about books that are shining examples of said trope, sub-genre or setting.  Feel free to play along and please let me know about your favorite books in this realm and whether you like this trope, sub-genre and/or setting as much as I do! Today I am spotlighting the trope of:  My Best Friend's Brother/My Brother's Best Friend , which I would define as any book where the heroine either has a crush on or falls for her brother's best friend or her best friend's brother. I have to confess that I love this trope in nearly all of its iterations!  I have a younger brother so I never got to crush on any of his friends but it's fun reading about that and it's equally as fun as reading about falling for your best friend's brother -- instant sisters!  I know there are a ton

Conversations With Myself (& Hopefully You): ARC Greed

This discussion is inspired by my feelings lately when reading and reviewing ARCs versus the feelings I had when I requested those same ARCs: ARC GREED ARC greed -- have we all experienced this?  What I even mean by this term is that I sometimes feel overwhelmed when looking at Netgalley and Edelweiss and  I sometimes over-request, if only because I can!  I get greedy when I see all the new and shiny ARCs available and I will sometimes request things that have even a hint of interest for me, not necessarily focusing only on those books that I really, really want.  The problem with this over-requesting and with getting greedy with requesting (and receiving) ARCs is when it comes time to read and review these ARCs.  Last month and this month, I have looked at my ARCs with a release date in each respective month and I just haven't wanted to read any of them.  I need to start asking myself -- If I was immediately approved for this ARC, would I read it right thi
