Top Ten Non-Bookish Blogs

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the fab ladies at The Broke and the Bookish!

1. Shutterbean

Tracy is an amazing artist and her blog is a mash-up of recipes, beautiful photography and her favorite things.

2. This Girl is Obsessed

I think it is so freaking cool that Nereyda from Nick and Nereyda's Infinite Booklist has a beauty/lifestyle blog!

3. How Sweet It Is

I want to eat everything that Jessica makes.  Some favorites are the thai crunch salad (that I make with tofu), sage butter biscuits, and peanut butter fudge pretzel brownies.

4. Designer Bags & Dirty Diapers

I suppose I would characterize Natalie's blog as a lifestyle blog -- great mix of everyday life, fashion, home decor, recipes and musings.

5. Ambitious Kitchen

Monique inspires me with her healthy recipes and lifestyle!

6. Design Love Fest

This is probably the newest to me on this list -- again, probably more lifestyle than anything but a lot of travel and home decor and just !!!

7. Honestly WTF

My favorite source for beauty, DIY and just so cool.

8. Gal Meets Glam

Julia is so freaking chic -- I love seeing what she's wearing and where she's traveling!

9. Heart of Light

Rachel is an amazing cook & a voracious reader! I love reading her thoughts ♥

10. Maggie Stiefvater's Tumblr

So this isn't really non-bookish but you get to see WIP, art, and all sorts of cool stuff!

  1. I was a total slacker on this week's top ten. I love that hardcover artwork, though, and you've given me a few blogs to check out.

  2. You have such a great variety of sites you visit!! I really want to check out Shutterbean and How Sweet It Is now!

  3. These look like great blogs! I really don't follow any except book ones though. I have recently heard great things about Maggie Stiefvaters tumblr so I should go check that out apparently!! :D

  4. Great list of links! I haven't visited any of these before but they sound very interesting, will have to check them out :)

Thanks for dropping by my TTT earlier!

  5. Loving your list :-) Some of these websites look intriguing.

  6. I hadn't seen honestlyWTF before but I really like it! Now I have a new home decor blog to add to my infinite Bloglovin feed! Thanks for the list

    Liselle @ Lunch-Time Librarian

  7. It's nice to see a collection of sites you visit, rather than just one type. To be honest, I really don't frequent non-social media/blogger sites, so I didn't make a TTT this week, but it's been fun seeing everyone elses. I'll be traveling abroad for the first time this year, so I'm taking note of all the travel websites to look into later.

You're blog is lovely! Followed via BL and Twitter. ^-^

    Brittany @

  8. These are all new to me! I don't usually visit blogs that aren't book related, but I'm probably going to be visiting a few later!

    Here are my Top Ten!

  9. Oh hello lovely new blogs to visit! Awesome list!

Review: History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

Blurb from Goodreads:
Linda has an idiosyncratic home life: her parents live in abandoned commune cabins in northern Minnesota and are hanging on to the last vestiges of a faded counter-culture world. The kids at school call her 'Freak', or 'Commie'. She is an outsider in all things. Her understanding of the world comes from her observations at school, where her teacher is accused of possessing child pornography, and from watching the seemingly ordinary life of a family she babysits for. Yet while the accusation against the teacher is perhaps more innocent than it seemed at first, the ordinary family turns out to be more complicated. As Linda insinuates her way into the family's orbit, she realises they are hiding something. If she tells the truth, she will lose the normal family life she is beginning to enjoy with them; but if she doesn't, their son may die. Superbly-paced and beautifully written, HISTORY OF WOLVES is an extrao…

What to Read if You Love The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

This & That – 2 Books with Strong Friendships, a Quest, and SHIPs!This and That” is a feature created by Megan @ Reading Books Likes a Bossand borrowed here with permission. Megan created this feature and I owe this post to her brilliance.  Not only should you check out her blog, generally, but her This & That recommendations are utterly perfect! Megan created this feature to showcase books that either sound similar or have similar themes, and thus I am recommending that you read the "that book" because you are a a fan of the “this book.”
About the Books: THE RAVEN BOYS (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them--until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her.His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.
