Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2015?
From Last Night in Montreal:
Shortest & Longest Book You Read In 2015?I wanted to be her north star. I wanted to be her map. I wanted to drink coffee with her in the cafes in the morning and do things, as you do, as she did, instead of just philosophizing about them and deconstructing their endless Russian-doll layers of meaning. I was alone before I met her. I wanted to disappear with her, and fold her into my life. I wanted to be her compass. I wanted to be her last speaker, her interpreter, her language. I wanted to be her translator, Zed, but none of the languages we knew were the same.

A 2016 Release You’ve Already Read & Recommend To Everyone:
I haven't read any good ones yet (I've actually only read one) but I know 2016 is going to be a good year for books!!
Happy New Year!!!!!!
Many of the books you've mentioned on this post are new to me, perhaps it is because I don't typically read from the contemporary genre? In any case, The Paper Swan sounds alluring; not to mention, the cover art too! Best of luck with your reading goals in 2016!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I am so excited you said I was your favorite new blog :) Totally made my day. Second, I just put a hold on The Truth According to Us at the library. So now I am excited for that. It is so funny because you don't cry while reading and I am almost always a damn sobbing mess during books. At least books that are meant to be sad. I'll Meet You There is on my list of need to get to in 2016 as well. Love this survey! So much fun!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it! I loved it so I know I may be over hyping it but it was good!!
DeleteSo happy I found your blog this year!!
Woah, you read so many books. I know a few people that are super excited about The Raven King!
ReplyDeleteGahh I need to read The Others!! I am so impressed by your reading count. Wow. You are my hero! What a great year in books!
ReplyDelete-Lety @ Gone With The Words
I keep seeing Station Eleven pop up. I’m going to have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAlso, The Raven King!!!!
I don't know a lot of these books, but congrats on reading so many books!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great reading year-- I need to check out the others series, I saw it quite a few times
ReplyDeleteTime out. You have NEVER cried while reading!?!? I think I cried while reading pure fluff before hahha. I KNOW I have cried reading acknowledgment pages ;) Also, 211 books is AMAZING. I am super impressed at that! The ponies from Maggie Stiefvater would have absolutely made my year too :D Hope you have a fabulous 2016- and that all the books you are most excited for are worthy!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
211 books read in 2015 is amaaazing, congrats! And OMG YOU NEVER CRIED WHILE READING ANY BOOK LAST YEAR? That really needs fixing this year, doesn't it? Try Me Before You by Jojo Moyes :D I really need to pick up something by Maggie Stiefvater soon, I keep seeing her name EVERYWHERE. Hmm, well. Maybe this year :D
ReplyDeleteWISH YOU A SMASHING 2016, EVA!
Ruzaika @ The Regal Critiques
Wow! There are so many books you've read that I haven't even heard of. My TBR list is going to grow again! And if you liked The Others, you should check out Anne Bishop's other series, Black Jewels.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by! Happy New Year!
Ooh... the cover for The Paper Swan is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great reading year! I'm glad to see all the love for Station Eleven as I am planning on reading that one soon! I'm also eager for The Raven King! I really love the characters in that series and I can't wait to see where they end up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the The Local Muse
I CANNOT wait for The Raven King either, Eva! I hope it blows me away. I listen to those books on audio because the narration is fantastic! I also want to read Six of Crows this year. I'm starting The Grisha series very soon. My husband and daughter LOVED it. I'm glad I don't have to wait for any books to be released since they're all out. Great year in books, Eva! And congrats on completing the Waves of Fiction reading challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteI should listen to them on audio -- it's hard for me to find the time for audio versus my kindle! I should read the Grisha series, too! I've heard it's amazing!!
DeleteThe Raven King!!! I cannot wait. I am so nervous and will definitely be reading the last page first haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed The Others series! I need Simon and Meg to kiss NOW.
I'll Meet You There and Six of Crows are favorites of mine, so definitely get to those. :)
Oh my goodness! I cannot wait for the Raven King!!! I've been searching everywhere for an ARC :( I haven't heard about The Truth According to Us before, I guess I have to look that one up. Garrett from The Deal rocks!
ReplyDeleteThe Ruby Circle was a disappointing ending? Uh oh. I still haven't gotten around to it and now I'm not sure if I want to. I've just finished the second book in the Off-Campus series and I'm really enjoying them :)
ReplyDeleteI'm totally behind on The Raven Boys series. I read the first book back when it first came out, and then never got around to the rest of the series even though I own them all. I should probably make a point to do it this year. Outlander is amazing!! I need to read Six of Crows this year too.
Thanks for stopping by my EOY Survey. I liked The Ruby Circle, but I can see where you're coming from. I haven't read a lot of the books that you mentioned! But I am dying for The Raven King too!
