Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the fab ladies at The Broke and the Bookish!

1.  Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher was supposed to be released this winter but we are still [not so patiently] waiting and being teased with #facesofmudvein on instagram!  This is the top book on my Spring TBR list!!!

2.  Next up is the conclusion to the The Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins, Sweet Reckoning.  I posted about this before but I cannot wait to find out how this series ends!

3.  Oh Keatyn -- I loved the first two books in the Keatyn Chronicles series by Jillian Dodd and I liked the third book but the fourth book made me seriously question continuing with this series.  However, Adore Me was perfect and I cannot wait to read Hate Me, especially given the ending of Adore Me!!

4.  I am definitely a series lover and so I am always waiting on the next book in my favorite mystery series, The Dead End Job Mystery series by Elaine Viets.

5.  I know so many bloggers, myself included, that loved Foreplay by Sophie Jordan last year when it was released -- what a wonderful NA!!  Obviously, I can't wait for the next book in the series, Tease.

6.  As you all probably already know, JLA is an instant buy for me!  I will read anything and everything she writes.  Don't Look Back sounds creepy but also enchanting -- I can't wait to read this book!

7.  I have read pretty much everything that Richelle Mead has written and I love it all.

8.  Easy is one of my favorite books and Tammara has long said that she would not be writing a sequel.  However, I am so, so excited for a prequel and to learn more about Lucas!  I can't wait to read Breakable!

9.  Another series conclusion from one of my favorite authors, Mary Whitney, I am dying to read Forever Your Heart.

10.  Finally, I want to start the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi.  This is not a new series but it is one that I have heard so many good things about and for me there is nothing better than starting a new series, especially when there are already a few books out so you don't have to wait forever for the next in line!!

  1. Nice! I can't wait for Don't Look Back and The Immortal Gods either! I need to finish up the Shatter Me series as well! Read the first book, so got a little bit of a start!

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  2. Great list!! I am DYING to get my hands on Breakable. I just started reading the Vampire Academy series a couple of months ago and love it. I'm getting ready to read the third book in the series and have added almost all of Richelle's books to my TBR list.

    Here is my TTT:

  3. I really want to read Don't Look Back. I haven't read any JLA but I've heard great things. This book sounds right up my alley and it is made all the more enticing because my name is Cassi and my best friends name is Sam (just like the characters). Great list!
    Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally

  4. I haven't heard of most of these books. I know that I have Don't Look Back on my TBR list, but I won't get to read it when it comes out in April b/c I got my top ten list of books I gotta read. Get them finally marked of my list! Hopefully, fingers crossed lol!

  5. I'm a HUGE Tarryn Fisher fan!! I can't wait for Mud Vein. And I can't wait for The Immortal Crown. I wasn't a huge fan of the first book but I liked the friendship/relationship between the main characters in Gameboard of the Gods. And I've read Shatter me but not the rest of the books. I need to get on it!

  6. I love Tarryn's Love Me With Lies books! Leah is such a bitch, but I am completely fascinated by her character. I hate her but she fascinates me...
I haven't read Foreplay yet. I think I was burned out by NA's at the time it came out so I'm saving it for when I'm in the mood for NA's again.
I haven't read Richelle's Age of X book. Did you like it? Is is Georgie and VA good? BTW, do you like her other series with Eugene and Dorian? I need to read the last book in that series.
    Shatter Me! YES! Read it!

  7. I need to read the Shatter Me series too plus the Richelle Mead adult books...

  8. Thank you so much! I can't wait for you to read Adam's story.

  9. Oh I just read Shatter Me and REALLY enjoyed it! You definitely need to pick that one up. I need to read The Sweet Trilogy, and I need to read The Immortal Crown too. While I'm a huge Richelle Mead fan, I wasn't blown away by Gameboard of the Gods unfortunately. I have faith that she'll work it out though! Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!

Review: History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

Blurb from Goodreads:
Linda has an idiosyncratic home life: her parents live in abandoned commune cabins in northern Minnesota and are hanging on to the last vestiges of a faded counter-culture world. The kids at school call her 'Freak', or 'Commie'. She is an outsider in all things. Her understanding of the world comes from her observations at school, where her teacher is accused of possessing child pornography, and from watching the seemingly ordinary life of a family she babysits for. Yet while the accusation against the teacher is perhaps more innocent than it seemed at first, the ordinary family turns out to be more complicated. As Linda insinuates her way into the family's orbit, she realises they are hiding something. If she tells the truth, she will lose the normal family life she is beginning to enjoy with them; but if she doesn't, their son may die. Superbly-paced and beautifully written, HISTORY OF WOLVES is an extrao…
