Swoon Thursday: Unleashing Mr. Darcy by Teri Wilson

Swoon Thursday is a meme hosted by YABound.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Today, I am spotlighting Unleashing Mr. Darcy by Teri Wilson, which I am reading this week!  This book is a wonderful, wonderful Adult contemporary, which is a retelling of Pride & Prejudice set in the dog show world.  It sounds a bit unorthodox but I am loving this book so much.  And now, on to the swoon:
If that wasn't an invitation to be kissed, and to be kissed thoroughly, Donovan didn't know what was.  Knowing that she wanted it, he had a mind to make her wait for it.
"Let me get this for you."  He scooped the cream off her nose and offered it to her.
Without breaking their gaze, she licked his fingertip.  At the sight of that tongue . . . those lips . . . all thoughts of making her wait flew right out of Donovan's head.  In one swift movement, he took the champagne flute from her hand and leaned in, pressing his mouth against hers.
Her lips were sweet, cold from the champagne.  She tasted of strawberries and rosé.  He groaned in satisfaction as he felt her body shiver in delight and her mouth curved into the subtlest of smiles.
This is my first Teri Wilson book and I am loving it!! Highly recommend for Adult contemporary and, especially, fans of Jane Austen.  Even if you have read a lot of Pride & Prejudice retellings, this one is super cute and unique!  This book is scheduled to be released on January 1, 2014 and you can Pre-Order Here!*  Who are you swooning over this week? Link up your Swoon below!

Review: History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

History of Wolves by Emily Fridlund

Blurb from Goodreads:
Linda has an idiosyncratic home life: her parents live in abandoned commune cabins in northern Minnesota and are hanging on to the last vestiges of a faded counter-culture world. The kids at school call her 'Freak', or 'Commie'. She is an outsider in all things. Her understanding of the world comes from her observations at school, where her teacher is accused of possessing child pornography, and from watching the seemingly ordinary life of a family she babysits for. Yet while the accusation against the teacher is perhaps more innocent than it seemed at first, the ordinary family turns out to be more complicated. As Linda insinuates her way into the family's orbit, she realises they are hiding something. If she tells the truth, she will lose the normal family life she is beginning to enjoy with them; but if she doesn't, their son may die. Superbly-paced and beautifully written, HISTORY OF WOLVES is an extrao…
