My Review:


Something about this book was very off for me and I'm not sure what it was...aside from the fact that I did think Crickitt was a really, really weird name. I think what threw me the most was the beginning. Shane August spots Crickitt across the room at a club, crying, and immediately decides to comfort her? I don't know, I guess I was expecting a much better meet cute. And honestly? It did not get much better from there....Shane was moody, Crickitt was his employee -- the entire on again/off again employer/employee relationship felt stale, lacking passion and just odd.



I really don't like to give less than stellar reviews but I can't be anything less than truthful when it comes to books. It seems like I am having a streak of bad books this week, one right after another. So I'm re-reading an old favorite to get me back in the game. Expect a bunch of reviews this week, albeit nothing gushing.
