 This was interesting and perhaps if I hadn't read a very similar book recently that worked better for me, maybe this wouldn't have felt so derivative.  I kept wanting something more -- not gore or suspense, necessarily, but better detailed characters.  These ones felt a little flat.  Still, a fun read and even if you don't like spooky stuff, this book will be fine for you!
