Monday Musts: Every Exquisite Thing, Radiohead & Recent Favorite Posts

Monday Musts is a weekly event, started and hosted by Jessica @ Lovin' Los Libros, which asks you to highlight your must read, must listen and must see!

Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick

From Goodreads:
Nanette O'Hare is an unassuming teen who has played the role of dutiful daughter, hardworking student, and star athlete for as long as she can remember. But when a beloved teacher gives her his worn copy of The Bugglegum Reaper--a mysterious, out-of-print cult classic--the rebel within Nanette awakens.

As she befriends the reclusive author, falls in love with a young troubled poet, and attempts to insert her true self into the world with wild abandon, Nanette learns the hard way that rebellion sometimes comes at a high price.
ICYMI, I reviewed this one on Friday -- it's my second five star read of this year (after TRK) and I loved it!!

Radiohead - Daydreaming

Loving the new Radiohead album and this first video directed by PTA.

  11. Reading this post, always gives me something to look forward to reading.

  12. I loved the one Matthew Quick book I've read and would love to read this one. My confession of the day: I'm a secret, closet Radiohead fan. haha

  13. I don't think I have even heard of this book. That's how out of books I am... #sadface
It does sound really good and we usually like the same books so I'm adding this to my GR shelves :)

  14. *scratching my head at why I've not seen/heard about this book before*
*feeling old and out of touch since I don't know Radiohead*
So where have I been that I'm apparently missing all the good stuff? :)
I just LOVE how you give mentions to other blog posts each week. It's such a great thing to do. I still have one bookmarked from last week that I'm excited to read. Thanks for the mention, Eva!

I love this trope, sub-genre, setting: My Best Friend's Brother/My Brother's Best Friend

I Love This Trope, Sub-Genre, Setting is a new feature on my blog in which I discuss a trope, sub-genre or setting that I love and tell you about books that are shining examples of said trope, sub-genre or setting.  Feel free to play along and please let me know about your favorite books in this realm and whether you like this trope, sub-genre and/or setting as much as I do! Today I am spotlighting the trope of:  My Best Friend's Brother/My Brother's Best Friend , which I would define as any book where the heroine either has a crush on or falls for her brother's best friend or her best friend's brother. I have to confess that I love this trope in nearly all of its iterations!  I have a younger brother so I never got to crush on any of his friends but it's fun reading about that and it's equally as fun as reading about falling for your best friend's brother -- instant sisters!  I know there are a ton
