Review: The Missed Connection by Tia Williams

Blurb from Goodreads:
Sasha Cruz knows types. As a booked-and-busy casting agent, she’s always casting—at happy hour, the grocery store, everywhere. She’s all about finding the perfect person to slot into the perfect role. What she doesn't do, however, is relationships. Too much energy, not enough time.

On a flight to Paris for work, a chance encounter with her type changes everything. Sasha’s seated next to a broodingly attractive mystery man, and sparks fly—but they never exchange contact information. Convinced she’s lost out on her soulmate, Sasha emails her work friend for help, but accidentally writes to the entire company worldwide! The international manhunt to find Seat F begins.

Meanwhile Sasha takes matters into her own hands. She hires a smoldering detective she knew in another lifetime—who complicates matters in unforeseen (and irresistible) ways.

With a worldwide search underway, will love take flight for Sasha?

My Review:

I wasn't sold in the first few chapters but then wham!  This got so good. It went places I wasn't expecting, in the best possible way.  And beyond, beyond swoony! I have loved everything I've read by this author so you should definitely give her a try!

The Missed Connection comes out next week on June 9, 2026, and you can purchase HERE!
"But you're also not looking. Didn't you tell me you're not into relationships right now?" Sasha asked this in the most nonchalant way possible, as if she hadn't committed his statement to memory.
"I'm not aggressively looking. But the door is cracked." Wes chose his words carefully. "I mean, isn't everyone? I don't want to spend Sunday nights alone. I want to have a best friend who I'm desperate to fuck and feed and take care of and travel with and spend the rest of my life
learning. I'd be lucky to find it."
He glanced at her, almost shyly. Sasha offered a tight smile, and then quickly reached for the pretzel bag. She hadn't blinked the entire time he spoke. His words reverberated through her, landing in some faraway place, untouched and hidden. An inconvenient ache throbbed between her thighs. Were his words sexy, or was it the way he said them? Or was her stomach fluttering because she pictured herself as the object of the fucking, feeding, and best-friending?
Everything he named was what she wanted, too.red.

Review: The Lost Letters from Martha's Vineyard by Michael Callahan

The Lost Letters from Martha's Vineyard by Michael Callahan Blurb from Goodreads : A tantalizing novel of two women bound by blood but divided by a long-buried secret, and the island that holds the key to the fateful summer that changed everything forever. In 1959, Hollywood ingenue Mercy Welles seems to have the world at her feet. Far removed from her Nebraska roots, she has crafted herself into a glamorous Oscar-nominated actress engaged to an up-and-coming director… Until she shockingly vanishes without a trace, just as her career is taking off. Almost sixty years later, Kit O’Neill, a junior television producer in Manhattan, is packing up her recently deceased grandmother’s attic, only to discover a long-lost box of souvenirs that reveal that the grandmother who raised her and her sister Claire was, in fact, the mysterious Mercy Welles. Put...
