Swoon Thursday: Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid #1) by Richelle Mead

Swoon Thursday is a meme hosted by YABound.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Today, in honor of #Georgiethon, I am spotlighting Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid #1) by Richelle Mead.  You can read more about #Georgiethon here!  And now, on to the swoon:
I had said Roman was beautiful, but he was nothing--nothing at all-- compared to Seth in that moment.  Seth, with those long-lashed, quizzical brown eyes, kindness made manifest in all of his actions.  Seth, his messy hair and slightly unkempt facial hair, framing a face which could not hide his nature, the strength of his character shining out at me, his soul like a beacon on a foggy night.
"Seth," I whispered.  "Seth."
He leaned toward me, letting me draw him closer and closer, and then, as heaven and hell raged beyond, I kissed him.
SO excited to be joining Nereyda and Megan and everyone else on this read-a-thon of the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead!  It is so much fun to re-read one of your favorite series with other bloggers!!  I love Georgina [and Seth!] even more the second time around.  Who are you swooning over this week? Link up your Swoon below!

  3. Ahhhh, Georgie! I am 100% Team Seth....but I've always had a soft spot for Roman. That ending (of book 6) hurt! Richelle Mead was once asked in a twitter chat if she ever considered writing a spinoff to Georgie. She coyly said she knew a lot of people (me included) want a Carter/Jerome spinoff. How fucking amazing would that be! I refuse to believe Roman is dead. I would love it it Roman was somehow involved in Carter's next mission. You know Jerome has a soft spot for him too because he never killed him. I'm clinging to hope that we get more out of this world.

  11. The "Specialists" in identifying leading rolex submariner replica hedge funds were bitten…again.

Rather than giving Magnum its cut of fees, [Pirate gucci replica Capital LLC founder Tom] Hudson expelled the investors that the Bahamas firm replica belts had brought to Pirate, Magnum President David Friedland says. "It got pretty ugly," Friedland says. "If we'd known this was the kind of character he had, we wouldn't have prada replica invested."

I love this trope, sub-genre, setting: My Best Friend's Brother/My Brother's Best Friend

I Love This Trope, Sub-Genre, Setting is a new feature on my blog in which I discuss a trope, sub-genre or setting that I love and tell you about books that are shining examples of said trope, sub-genre or setting.  Feel free to play along and please let me know about your favorite books in this realm and whether you like this trope, sub-genre and/or setting as much as I do! Today I am spotlighting the trope of:  My Best Friend's Brother/My Brother's Best Friend , which I would define as any book where the heroine either has a crush on or falls for her brother's best friend or her best friend's brother. I have to confess that I love this trope in nearly all of its iterations!  I have a younger brother so I never got to crush on any of his friends but it's fun reading about that and it's equally as fun as reading about falling for your best friend's brother -- instant sisters!  I know there are a ton

Conversations With Myself (& Hopefully You): ARC Greed

This discussion is inspired by my feelings lately when reading and reviewing ARCs versus the feelings I had when I requested those same ARCs: ARC GREED ARC greed -- have we all experienced this?  What I even mean by this term is that I sometimes feel overwhelmed when looking at Netgalley and Edelweiss and  I sometimes over-request, if only because I can!  I get greedy when I see all the new and shiny ARCs available and I will sometimes request things that have even a hint of interest for me, not necessarily focusing only on those books that I really, really want.  The problem with this over-requesting and with getting greedy with requesting (and receiving) ARCs is when it comes time to read and review these ARCs.  Last month and this month, I have looked at my ARCs with a release date in each respective month and I just haven't wanted to read any of them.  I need to start asking myself -- If I was immediately approved for this ARC, would I read it right thi
